Drawing on literature from education, anthropology, and international studies, the paper examines how arts-based pedagogies can facilitate cross-cultural learning experiences and promote dialogue and collaboration among students from diverse backgrounds. It discusses the importance of incorporating global perspectives into arts education curricula, including the exploration of cultural traditions, histories, and contemporary issues through various art forms. The paper highlights the potential of arts education to nurture empathy and compassion towards others by encouraging students to explore and empathize with different cultural perspectives and experiences. It also explores how arts-based activities can provide opportunities for students to engage with global themes such as environmental sustainability, social justice, and human rights. Through case studies and examples, the paper showcases innovative practices in global arts education, including multicultural arts festivals, collaborative art projects with international partners, and service-learning initiatives addressing global challenges. Additionally, the paper addresses challenges such as ethnocentrism, cultural appropriation, and the need for culturally responsive pedagogy in global arts education.
