Abstract
This paper delves into the importance of embracing diversity in arts education, with a focus on nurturing inclusive practices, empowering marginalized voices, and building equity. Drawing on literature from education, critical race theory, and inclusive pedagogy, the paper examines how arts education can serve as a catalyst for social change by challenging dominant narratives, disrupting power structures, and centering marginalized perspectives. It discusses the role of arts-based approaches in creating safe and affirming spaces for students from diverse backgrounds to express themselves authentically, explore their identities, and engage in dialogue across differences.
